The console is just fine, but let me tell you about these new white controllers (we have several or should I say HAD) They are garbage! They do not last at all! We are longstanding Xbox fans: started with the original one, then 3 Xbox 360, now 4 Xbox one (on each tv in our house). Sure controllers wear out, but not this fast! White powder around both sticks - the plastic is too weak. When playing video games your character moves on his own ....

I purchased this bundle during the Prime Day $289 special with a second controller and 3 digital games. Even without the spare controller and games, the base console and halo wars 1&2 bundle is very nice. I lost my original Xbox One, so I replaced it with the One S. The One S is definitely a worth upgrade just because of the inboard power supply, HD blu-ray player and IR blaster. It also so much smaller. If i recall its about 1" thinner and narrower, while 2-3 inches shorter. 40% smaller is the advertised value. So far its ran like a top, though some people claim to have fan issues. Mine seems to be perfectly fine, however if I put my ear against the housing it seems to be a bit less smooth sounding than I would think (you can't hear it more than a foot away, its only when really close). The console also seems to stay a lot cooler more consistently. If you aren't waiting for the Xbox One X because of the graphics, I would say pick up a One S over the base One, hands down. As for Halo Wars, I was pleasantly surprised. I am very picky on RTS games, and even more so on console, so I was hesitant to buy the bundle and "waste" my "free" game on Halo Wars 2 (it actually comes with 1 also). It turns out it is actually well designed and laid out for a controller. The only downside was it was a digital copy. This is made up for the fact that you get it on PC for free with Play Anywhere. So long as you have no intentions of trading it, I highly recommend the Halo Wars 2 bundle, more so still if you can get a deal like I did.

I've always owned Xbox's and thought hard about whether to switch to the PS4. I'm glad I didn't! Xbox One is a great gaming console with almost the same quality you would get from the PS4 Pro. The layout of the menu is totally different from the Xbox 360, but they make it more interactive and easier to use.

I bought this console to play "Fallout 4", but when visiting certain areas of the game the console crashed on me every single time. I put up with it for a while. This month I bought an older XBox One-X used on Amazon and it works just fine. No wonder the "S" model is cheaper than the original- it's likely outsourced manufacturing. It *did* run Red Dead Redemption II okay, though. If your game is very graphics-intensive I'd stay away from this "S" model and buy a used "X".

Love it!! Great price for the 1 TB, it’s a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who misses playing Halo because we have a PS, also it came with an extra controller which is AWESOME!! He’s going to love it. Let’s hope it’s perfect quality when he opens it!

Definitely an upgrade from my 360! I love the Windows 10 style layout for the GUI and the console itself is small and surprisingly light. I really dig the sleek black and white look of both the console and the matching controller included with it. The graphics are fantastic and the console provides more than enough storage to support my needs. That being said, however, I'm not particularly a fan of the amount of downloading that needs to be done before being able to use it. Aside from having to download every game before I play it, I did also have a pretty long initial wait time upon first booting the console due to all of the software updates, but once that was all said and done the console was running smooth and I was able to use it like normal. I do like that I am able to use Xbox Live with virtually any other account on my console provided that there is an account with Xbox Live signed in. That is a feature that I wasn't expecting!

Overall I would definitely recommend this console to anyone that is an avid Halo fan considering this particular console includes both Halo Wars 1 and 2 (which have both turned out to be really great games). My only advice to you is that you have plenty of other things to occupy your time when you first boot it up or when you want to play a new game, because you're definitely going to have some downloading to do.

I was looking to upgrade my xbox one to an xbox one s for the smaller size and they new power cord. I got this for $260 and it came with Halo Wars 2 which was a nice bonus! I love the smaller design and the lack of bulky power brick, only thing it was missing for me was a color option, sure wish I could have chosen black over white but that's just a tiny flaw/personal choice.

The graphics and game play are fine but I’m really disappointed with how long games take to load. When my daughter wants to play a game she doesn’t want to wait 10 minutes for Minecraft to load or update. I guess we were spoiled by the wii where you turn it on, select a game and just play. I wouldn’t recommend this for young kids unless you want to have to constantly help them navigate all the advertisements and updates.

This is my first gaming system and although I need a lot of work to get good at the games I love it. It's fast , the graphics are great , and it is backwards compatible back to the 360. I was told that it plays music and movies from a cloud. It does but from cloud services not my cloud drive at home where I have all of my music and some movies. I can't even find a way to make it see my cloud drive at home even though all my other devices can like my phone, kindles ,and computers. If I could do that and make my own playlists from my own music I would be happy but for now I have a great gaming system that will play my audio cd's, dvd movies, and blueray movies. I have not tried mp3 cds and such but am having fun playing the games even though my kids kick my butt in them every time.
