I've been collecting and using Brainwavz earbuds and IEMs for years now, and, in every category, the best bang-for-buck, in terms of sound quality, my enjoyment of what I listen to, ease-of-use and product durability - the Brainwavz product exceeds the performance of similar products from other companies costing up to three times the Brainwavz product. Recently, I purchased the B200 Dual Armature Driver IEM on Amazon, and this phone is no exception to my general assessment of the Brainwavz product line. Also, the product arrived quickly, in pristine physical condition and functionally "gorgeous" in the sounds I've been hearing through it. I can easily hear the difference between the B100 I've owned for a good while now and the B200. At some point, I'll very likely be adding the B400 to my toolbox of fine listening instruments.

These earphones are surprisingly good. Presentation is great as well. However, if you are a heavy bass user these are not the earphones for you. I am pretty sad it lacks so much bass. Still good for the price though

I haven't made it past the burn in phase, but so far the separation of sound is amazing for the price. There is a bit of an absence of the low end, so if you listen to bass heavy music this probably is the right IEM to be looking at. I will say, that kick drum hits and bass is still clear, it just doesnt carry out very far. The sound stage is unique, and the fit is probably the best un-molded fit for my ears ive ever had. Would definitely recommend for an on-stage or live sound set, but if you're looking for a pronounced low-end look elsewhere.

really bad white noise coming from one side. reproduced it from 3 sources, not worth the money.
Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2018
I highly recommend these for intermediate musicians. I've used $300 in-ear monitors and these are not far off. I've used mine about 30 times now and have had no issues and love the quality, especially for the price. There is a difference in use between the two cords because of the in-put jacks...the one without the volume controls is better for in-ear monitors.

Smooth sound across the entire spectrum. Doesn't have the visceral impact on the bass and sub bass that a dynamic driver would produce but it is still an excellent sound. Tight and controlled without the bass bleeding into the rest of the spectrum. Full midrange with slightly recessed highs. Very good soundstage. Adding the 2nd BA helped extend and smooth out the response compared to the 1xx single BA models. I'm approaching 60 so my opinion of the highs or upper range may be limited but I find it clear with distinct separation between instruments without being so shrill or fatiguing.

I like the sound quality on this product but only thing that I did not like about this product is that darn ear buds is not staying in place to my ear. I try to change to a larger ear pieces and is still not well secured. It cost me almost $ 90 buck. Very regret that I did not return it. Too late now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brainwavz B200
Reviewed in Italy on February 25, 2018

5.0 out of 5 stars Brainwavz have done it again. Tremendous fun! suits all tastes.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 17, 2017
Little bit about myself, i have just shy of 90 sets of IEMs/Headphones. They range from budget gems of £10, to mid-fi £300+. This doesn't make me an expert, but it does allow me to make comparisons at different price ranges.

The Brainwavz B200 are an extraordinary little set of earphones. At £95 there isn't much (if anything) that can compete with it sound wise.

BUILD - These are basically the exact same as the B150, at half the price. Btw, the B150 is another great set if you don't have £100. I'd have liked a detachable cable at this price, the cable isn't the best, especially at this price I'd expect better. It's plastic housing but extremely comfy.

SOUND - Sound has good body and weight and a fantastic level of detail. This is helped by the twin Balances Armature drivers. it has a very big soundstage and great 3d like effect with certain songs. the better the quality of the song the better they perform. I've had earphones £200 that have the same (or a tiny bit more) detail, but only cos they really boost the highs/treble which can sound unnatural and sore on the ears after a bit.

BASS - Response is excellent. It is a very good quality bass, and can go very low with great texture and can be very fast when needed. You will defo here subtle bass plucks you've never heard before. No bleed. Good weight.

MIDS - Very musical, I can re-listen to old songs all night long. i love a good earphone or headphone that allows you to go back in time hearing little nuances you haven't heard before. It's a strange place to be as these aren't your typical BA mids a there is body and a good bit of warmth and smoothness, but things are very separate in the mix. Drums have GREAT slam and timing, guitar solos, pianos, bass... all clear to hear, but all gelled at the same time. It allows for audiophile listening if that's your bag.

HIGHS - Relaxed but detailed. Nothing is missed. Some people might want more shimmer or extension, for me they are perfect and cos no fatigue or sibilance. Strings and cymbals sound great.

Genres - These are def a jack of all trades... a very good one at that. I've been listening to a lot of 80s and 90s pop and having so much fun doing so. These will suit all tastes.

CONCLUSION - If you want a set of IEMs that are super comfy and can compete with sets double their price... these are for you. The model before them, the B150, are also great value though... the B200 packs much more detail in IMO, even being slightly smoother at same time. They do bass and drums very well. Vocals have a euphoric sound at times. Harmonies great and you can pick out separate layers easy. Beatles and Queen... lovely stuff!!!

UPDATE : Although really easy to drive from most sources, with an AMP they get a little cleaner and helps with more detail and bigger soundstage. i use an Xduoo X2 with Topping NX 2 AMP and they sound wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure & original audio in a comfortable fit
Reviewed in India on July 11, 2017
Sound: this does sounds perfect. Clear and crisp. Almost no coloration at any frequency. Just pure, original audio.

Comfort: Nice fit. I use it for almost 6 hours a day and no discomfort at the end of day.

Size and case: these are tiny little Ear phone with solid performance. Hard shell case is perfect for everyday carry. Cable is super strong, typical brainwavz.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds great, although I'm not really sure I can tell the difference from cheaper headphones
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 30, 2019
I'm completely happy with these headphones. They sound great and fit comfortably (although it did take me a couple of tries to figure out how they're meant to be worn - they sit in the bottom of your earlobe, with the cable pointing up; looping over the top of your ear; and hanging down behind it).

Four stars because, while I'm happy with them and they sound great, I'm not sure whether they're really noticeably better than the cheaper ones I had before. Definitely good, though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great in certain respects but has some serious negatives
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 14, 2018
I've used this for a couple of days and its okay but has some flaws. Here are some first impressions. It's worth noting that the headphone may still need to be burned in. Also I'm using the Bluetooth receiver from the Sony SBH20 but I've ordered the Creative Labs Soundblaster E5 so will update this review later. I'm also atill experimenting with the silicone tips.

Let's start with the positives.
- the sound stage is excellent. The way voices and instruments spread out is...wow.
- the clarity is good. It's like I've been listening with a pane of glass in the way with the Bose Soundlink 2 and Soundmagic ES18 headphones I used before. There's lots of detail.
- there's more authenticity in how things sound
- they really make me listen to the music. Usually music is something in the background while I focus on blogging but with these headphones I pay more attention to the music. Of course this might be because they're new and as time goes on I'll get used to them. Nonetheless compared to what I used to use the Brainwavz has an attention grabbing sound signature.

Negatives
- there's occasionally some harshness in voices which I find extremely annoying. This sibilance was not present in the other headphones I've used. The ES18 I used with the same Bluetooth receiver as the B200..In general voices are reproduced excellently and some people might find it acceptable but I can't stand it. I expect better from a headphone at this price and one which is so well rated. This flaw in particular is why I give it 3 stars instead of four. In fact it's so bad to me that I might return it.
- the bass is not very deep. In general I'm not someone who loves masses of bass and neither the Bose nor the Soundmagic had powerful bass. Whatever bass there is is taut and well defined but I feel I'm missing out on the low notes
- I find putting them on and over the ear to be a hassle. I wear glasses and have a messy mop of hair. However once they're on they;re fine and it's only very rarely I have to push them back in if they've slipped out and this only happens when I use the small silicone tips
- it comes with 2 x S, M and L silicone tips and only 1 M Comply foam tips. Two pairs of silicone tips of each size seems unnecessary.
- I'm not sure why there's a second cable which has no playback controls. Perhaps it has better sound quality.? I guess I need to try them. There's no instructions for how to change the cable which is a little disappointing.
- they;re not as sensitive as the ES18 headphones. I have to max the volume with the B200 whereas I got good listening volumes with two or three notches below max volume with the ES18. However the B200 at maximum volume is perfectly fine for me.

As I said earlier I'll update the review later.
