My complaints are related to the texture. It is quite abrasive as some other reviews have mentioned, I haven’t had splinter problems, but does leave little rug-burn like patches on my knees and elbows.

It also isn’t as good for grip as I was expecting. It isn’t sticky at all, which is nice, but I sweat a lot and my palms were sliding more than on typical mats.

I just flip the mat over when I use it now and it works wonderfully.

I absolutely LOVE this yoga mat! I take hot yoga classes and I do not slip on this mat at all. Cleaning it is also easy which is one thing I was worried about with the different materials. Would definitely recommend this mat for anyone doing hot yoga, the textured mat helps you stay put. The only complaint I have which isn't really a complaint, your first few uses I got the fabric material all over me but now that I have had it for a bit my mat has stopped "shedding".
