I had an original model of the 500GB PS4, and I really got tired of having to delete a game off my console every time a new game that I wanted to try came out.
Enter the Seagate Firecuda 2TB SSHD Drive.
I’ll sum the perks up:
-Great storage capacity: 2TB will most likely last me as long as PS4 is still around since there are specific games I love to keep around but others come and go.
-Extra Storage: The kit comes with an aluminum drive casing that fits your old PS4 drive, which you can subsequently use for additional storage. The PS4 even reformats it for you so you don’t have to do anything but click a couple buttons.
-Ultra Easy Installation: I thought the process would be gritty and take me a good chunk of time to do. In short, I got the old drive out and the new one in, along with full system setup and was up and running in 20 minutes from start time. The games had to be downloaded again which is expected, but you can just put your console in rest mode and have it download your games and then they’re ready to play later after you’ve done all your to-do’s for the day.
-Seamless transition between hard drives: I have had absolutely no issues with the drive and things are moving like clockwork.
-Budget friendly: While $100 or $116 (depending on when you buy) may seem like a good chunk of change, but it beats out spending an extra $300-$400 for a PS4 Pro, unless you really like to see the crispy leaves on the trees in games.
Overall, if you’re thinking about it, just do it. The quality is amazing, everything came as shipped, and I have absolutely no buyers remorse.
