I upgraded from a Sony Z5 Premium and was amazed at the improvements over 3 years:
The OLED screen is much more vivid and vibrant than the 4k LED screen despite being HD. X Reality for mobile does a phenomenal job with motion processing and keeping display colors natural and realistic.
The 6GB RAM make it super fast compared to the 3GB for Z5 Premium and was the reason for purchasing an international version instead of the US version with 4GB. Also, the Bordeaux Red color attracts a lot of attention from people because it stands out compared to the morbid colors from other companies.
The battery lasts around 4 days without charging for my use compared to around 2 days.
I've read multiple reviews online about the camera being poor, but realistically any photo enthusiast considering this phone is going to have a Sony Mirrorless camera like my alpha 6000 which easily pairs and opens the image editing app. If this is a big deal then wait for Xperia 1 (Release date June 2019) because that's the greatest improvement to it. I don't think the 4k screen would be much of a difference on a 6.5" phone as well as the 21:9 cinamatic ratio to justify the $1000 price tag.
Similarly a lot of people complain about the fingerprint sensor, but I prefer it on the back instead of the Z5 premium side version because its easier to activate when taken out of the pocket.
The only thing I didn't like was not being able to download wallpapers from the Xperia Lounge, but Atlus released some really cool Persona 5 ones on their website that I use.
Overall its a phenomenal phone and I'm glad to get it instead of waiting for Xperia 1 because the improvements aren't enough to justify the higher price.

Hi, this Sony Xperia XZ3 is actually a good phone. The only problem is that I bought it on September/2021, it was received on October by a courier, because I’m from Ecuador. I finally got it in my hands on mid-November, so that means I’ve being using the phone for around two months. I had an incident where I accidentally dropped water on it, but I didn’t worry so much because according to the specifications it is water resistant(IP65/68). The phone immediately shut down, so I let it dry for some hours and when I turned it on it had two big lines on the display.This make me think that the phone came already with some manufacturing defects, because it does not fit the specifications mentioned before.
