The Beoplay e8's have a wonderful sound signature, accurately reproducing the frequency range that is surprisingly similar to their headphones (I have the H9i's as well). Clear, accurate highs, with tight and thumpy bass. The B&O app is great for adjusting the sound signature and one can even adjust how much passive audio is pumped in. Having also owned the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless (MTW) 1st Gen, I can say that the bass is more present there, which gives it a very energetic sound, and can be pleasing to listen to if you ultimately want the highest level of bass in a true wireless set. I personally find that the MTW's sound quite muddy, and at times, overwhelming the rest of the audio range, which I personally don't like. I appreciate how B&O supplied five different ear tips to tailor the perfect fit. The earbuds are stable in-ear and haven't fallen out or even come loose. I do prefer the Comply foam tips as they do the best at noise isolation and comfort, although it does make the earbuds feel a little "crooked" in the case but never had an issue charging. The Sennheiser MTW, though being a much larger earbud unit, never felt loose either, so it's really just the fit. I personally feel the MTW being more comfortable to wear, but that will vary person to person. The tactile feel of the e8's earbuds are very nice. Although it is primarily built out of plastic, it does not feel cheap and has a very nice soft-touch coating on it. With a little touch of metal though, the earbuds exudes minimalistic beauty and look quite discreet. The charging chase is very attractive as well. Leather all around, aluminum bits, an LED to indicate earbud charge, and three on the rear for case charges available. The e8's case easily bests the MTW's just by size though, not even thinking materials. The MTW's case does has a nice fabric covering, and the buds feel very secure inside, but the size of the case is bulky, and it only holds two additionally charges (at best) compared to the e8's three charges. Call quality is fairly good, and the receiving end only had issues when I was in a crowded area. Not bad, but probably could be better. Now, this leads to my only complaint about the e8's. The microphone holes are located at the bottom, ever so slightly towards the front of the earbuds. Basically, when I put them in, I need to check in a mirror to make sure that I have rotated the earbuds enough or else the mics are obstructed by my ear. I recall the first time I used ambient mode and I couldn't hear a thing. After feeling around for a bit, I could hear where the mics were and determined I hadn't put them in correctly. Just be aware of this when you put them in. With a few days of usage, I was able to determine by memory how they need to feel in my ear to best have unobstructed mics. Once it's in the right place, they work just fine. The usage time is as advertised. At about 50-70% volume, I can listen for at least 4 hours and still have about 20-30% charge left. Might not seem like much, but I normally start my work day at 9am, and when lunch comes around, I just toss them into the charger, come back, and they will last me the rest of the day. The MTW's lasted about 3 1/2 hours, give or take 15 mins. They would die before my day ended though so they were all ready in the case by the time 5pm rolled around. Given that the drivers are just larger, I'm not surprised. For me, I care about the audio experience. The e8's earbuds and the case, as a complete package, they just work very well together and besides the microphone placement, these are hard to complain about. I think most people will be pleased by the e8's, but as a recommendation, it's hard to say. If you're truly after getting good audio, these will do it, but at a compromise. If you just need something to alleviate the drone of your office, there's plenty of inexpensive choices that will probably suite you better.
