I haven't owned a Sony product since the Ps2, and the PSP. The price was finally right seeing as I got it on a BIG sale. Came with 3 GOOD games, and earlier in the year I picked up a few on sale games like Kingdom Hearts 3, and The Last Of Us. The amount of functionality the system has really impressed me. Just from the setup alone. All the features you can link, and do on it. It's leaps ahead of what Ps2 was, and what Ps3 was from what I can tell. If you see a sale for this, and it's 100 bucks off like it was for me... Grab it. History has shown that systems, and games don't go down in price easily... Ps2 copies of the original .Hack games can show you that's true. Still 50 bucks each unless someone is bundling the whole set to mark them down a little bit per game...

First, let me say I have had an XBox One since day one and an XBox One X when it was released, but have been a PS player, owning PS1, PS2 and PS3 so this is not a fanboy review for any of the parts. I just love games, no matter where they come from. The wife wanted to embrace XBox Fitness, thus justifying my platform change. They are the ones who get to decide after all. While happy with the XBox One, specially for the 4k capabilities of the X version, I always missed the PS exclusives, in particular when Capcom announced Street Fighter 5 would be PS4 only. With all these years owning the XBox One, taking advantages of the sales and also being a Gold member I own a large library of games in that platform, so I didn't want to just switch to the PS4 again. That said, when the year end sale for $299 with Spiderman, God of War and Horizon: Zero Dawn was announced, I didn't thing twice. It was an excellent value, considering these are 3 of the best exclusives and also SF5 was also on sale for 9.99. Pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. I don't care that new consoles are on the way. Now I have the best of both worlds and the graphics are excellent the way they are! The kids are enjoying playing Spiderman, I get to beat them in SF5 in every way possible and we have a great time together! :D

Love it. Got it on a black Friday sale. Graphics are amazing with GTA V. Haven't really played the games that were bundled with it so can't comment on those. Controller is the same familiar one that goes back to PS1 albeit wireless. Battery life is good about 10 to 12 hours between charges. Plays blu rays and you can download apps to stream movies such as hulu and prime video. Haven't tried onlive game play so 0 comments there. I highly recommend this console.

Games are fine, I prefer the ones specific to PlayStation. Online play is ok, if you prefer online play, make sure you are hardwired into your internet. WiFi drops easily. Always get an external storage drive, your memory will be filled up quickly without one.

Bought as a lightening deal. I am not a video gamer- I last played games with any zeal back with Nintendo 64 and the original Nintendo with a smattering of occasional whatever was going on since that time. I wanted something that could segue into VR as a possibility but Oculus seemed too big of a dive into VR and less flexible than PS4. If I go to the PS 4 VR the cost will be similar to Oculus. I looked at reviews, articles, blogs, videos and when the price hit reasonable i hit “add to cart”. I must say this system is pretty sweet. Buy the best you can afford, just like a computer.
