Nothing but problems with this HRM… since purchasing I’ve had to waste time trying to get it to connect before my workout over 50% of the time. (Very frustrating when I’m geared up and ready to leave for a ride) Ive had times where it won’t connect at all, I’ve had it disconnect during workouts. I’ve head times where it didn’t connect and then connects randomly during a ride.
My phone and apps are updated, I do not store it with the strap connected and I’ve put a new battery in multiple times hoping it would solve my issues. It always has a good connection point to my body. It is stored on a shelf and has not been abused in the bottom of a gym bag. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.
Straps stays tight for normal rides, but I have had it slip down during cyclocross races - but those included a lot of running and jumping on/off the bike so can't really fault the strap.
Knocking off 1 star because a few times I just couldn't get it to pair with my head unit no matter what I did. The next ride, it would pair instantly.
Came upon the flip the battery reset, tried that and it seemed to work. But the same problem returned after a couple of weeks.
The odd thing about this reset technique is only one battery terminal makes contact (the center spring).
Another irritating thing is the circular battery cover can get easily broken and Wahoo does not sell replacements.
I replaced it with another brand. It's now a spare that I'll try using with a second bike & computer.
Bottom line: I lost confidence in the unit and company. Would not purchase another one of these.
