Product Description
Ticket to Ride United Kingdom Map Col 5
Ticket to Ride: United Kingdom will include a double-sided game board. One side will show a map of the United Kingdom, including Great Britain and Ireland, set in the 19th Century, at the dawn of the railroad revolution. To play on this map, a completely new set of train cards are also included. A unique feature of this scenario is the introduction of Technology cards that allow players to improve the quality and sophistication of their trains during the game, allowing faster runs and longer routes. Players must use Locomotive cards to purchase the Technology cards, forcing them to decide between technological development or expanding their route network on the map. This scenario supports 2 to 4 players. The other side of the game board shows a map of Pennsylvania. Playing this scenario uses a deck of Stock Shares, representing actual historical railroads that operated in the region shown on the map. When a player completes a route on the map, they have the opportunity to "invest" in a company through the use of the Stock Shares, with control of each company awarding bonus points at the end of the game. This scenario supports 2 to 5 players.

First of all it adds new missions for you to take, which adds more variety to the game, especially if you've played it for awhile. The original game only had so many so you could kind of tell after awhile which paths people are pursuing, especially if they decided to trek cross-country. With the added cards, this is a lot less certain. and attempts to block paths may end up more fruitless than ever because of it. With almost 40 new missions you can play for a long time and still be surprised by it. Also, with so many new missions, fishing for that one mission by drawing incessantly is no longer as easy as it once was, which discourages that strategy a bit.
Secondly, it gives you more normal-sized train cards as replacements for the tiny ones that come with the original. This makes them a lot easier to shuffle, especially if you have bigger hands. This was a nice bonus to add to it to give it some value, and pretty much a godsend if you hated the tiny cards as they were.
It adds new ways to play the game, which i can't recall at this time as I gave this as a gift to someone who has the game. One of them is to play with 1910 cards only, and it adds some flair to the game that allows for a twist...we played this and it didn't really add a whole lot of depth to it but it did ensure that we got to see and use the newer cards immediately.
Overall this is a solid buy for the price. As the title says its basically an add-on rather than a true expansion. You can probably skip this purchase if you wanted but it's not really all that expensive, so it is worth the cost if you want bigger cards or a nice gift to get someone that has the game.
As for those reviews suggesting that this 1910 expansion pack somehow turns the U.S. version of Ticket to Ride into the more interesting and complex Ticket to Ride Europe version -- not so fast. The Europe version has stations, which was a great addition to the original game. This expansion pack adds more tickets and bigger cards. so it's more an incremental lift than it is an overhaul.
What’s nice about “Ticket to Ride” is that it is flexible enough to where you can make up your own variants. You could, for example, use all the ticket cards but only draw three in the beginning (as normal) instead of four. You can opt to use only the tickets with a value of “X” or lower/higher, giving you a game of all short or long routes, respectively. You could also opt to include all, some, or none of the bonus cards…you get the idea. This expansion simply gives you more ways to customize your game, which is a plus for any hardcore “Ticket to Ride” fan.
The larger cards are indeed nice to have and do fit in the original insert with a little organization and thought, though the expansion box will not (not without mutilating and removing the insert’s separators). They are also easier to handle and shuffle. Is it worth $20 though? It depends. If you and your family/gaming group play “Ticket to Ride” religiously, then I’d say yes. If you bring out “Ticket to Ride” once in an Alan R. Moon (ba-dum-ch!!), then I’d say no. The base game is perfectly playable by itself and can easily provide entertainment for years to come…most casual gamers can and will be happy with just that. With that said, sometimes you just want more. I personally would have liked another train set so that six players could play or something along those lines, but I suppose “USA 1910″ does the job as-is even if it is a tad on the expensive side.

Les nouvelles cartes destinations changent vraiment le jeu, je conseille vivement de juste tout le temps jouer en mode Mega (toutes les destinations, les deux cartes de point bonus).
I love the multiple playing styles it accommodates, keeping every match fresh and exciting. It's a must-have for any game night—perfect for both beginners and seasoned players. Highly recommended for its sheer enjoyment and replay value!
