I bought this during the 1st lockdown as a substitute to a kitchen aid which I couldnt get. I absolutely love it its sturdy and well made and does the job. I love the handle on the blue bowl and the small is very handy especially having the lid. I paid £330 so consider it great value. The only downside us that its very loud. But this isnt a big deal.

Broke down after a only using a few times, trying to get it repaired seems to be impossible, the customer service from this company is terrible, I would avoid and will never buy a product from them again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful mixer great for bread dough and batters.

I bought this mixer after looking at lots of reviews. I wanted one that could cope with a large amount of bread dough. I have had this over a month and nearly gone through 16kg of bread flour and made lots of sponge cakes. It is noisy like other reviews state but this is probably due to the powerful motor, for the amount of time it’s on I can cope with this. When I’m making a large batch of dough the mixer will move slightly so make sure it away from the edge of the worktop. My best purchase of 2020 👍🏻

Have never had a stand mixer before having made do with a hand mixer for the last 45 years. I have been making all my own bread for the last year and thought it would be nice not to have to stand and hold the hand mixer but I was primarily concerned that continuing to make bread might burn the motor out. I have a Braun multimix which also has a chopper attachment and is no longer available to purchase. I have used the AEG mixer a few times now and I always have to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl. Despite that the bits of bran in the wholemeal dough still seem to get left at the bottom. I have also used it to make a cake. I scraped the sides but didn’t realise until I turned the mixture into the tin that there was a clump of the sugar and butter mixture stuck at the bottom of the bowl. The cake didn’t rise as well as usual either. I will try the different beater next time to see if that helps.Hopefully I will find it better with time though overall I am a bit disappointed with it so far. Sometimes it can be difficult to unlock the bowl from the stand. On the plus side I like the fact that it has 2 bowls. Having read lots of reviews on many stand mixers before buying this one, I suspect this is no worse than any others and may be better than some. I think I just have a very good hand mixer which of course you can move where you want in the mixing bowl.
Update. I subsequently returned this because the bowl became so difficult to remove from the stand that I couldn’t do it without my husband to hold the mixer still. It was impossible to get through to the right department at AEG. I could only get through to the white goods department who weren’t able to help. My bread didn’t come out as well either though the instructions say to only do dough on 2, I suspect it might have come out better on a higher setting. I paid £260 for the mixer at Christmas, I see that it is considerably more expensive now.
