I barely write reviews , Figured I’d help someone out there This game is closest to tennis that I’ve played in awhile. There’s been some really crappy tennis games , let’s face it. So you can download anybody and it’s fun to play. After hating Roland Garros crap that came out, this by far is superior and more realistic and fun. If your trying to choose , pick this one!!!!! You’ll be pleasantly surprised that it’s actually fun:)

I have not been this excited about playing a video game since I have been a teenager. I have been playing tennis games since Virtua Tennis 3 was released back in 2006. Are there some flaws in this game? Yes. Online play is choppy, and people make custom players too overpowered. However, AO Tennis 2 is a massive improvement when compared to the previous title and Tennis World Tour. I appreciate the ability to create content and the cross-platform content sharing feature. This is a brilliant feature that adds a ton of value to the quality of the game. The gameplay sounds, stroke mechanics, professional form, and ball pace is the best I have ever seen! I am very pleased with the game, and I do recommend buying this title.

Even it's better than the Tennis world tour. AO Tennis 2 is still not worth it.

I had been looking for a good tennis game for years. On PC a game called Tennis Elbow is actually quite good, just very bare bones. When I heard that AO-T2 was releasing on consoles I decided to try it out & am glad that I did. I like that fact that it is a good tennis sim game, in other words it's not easy except on the very easiest difficulty setting. Indeed, it is rather unforgiving on the higher difficulty settings; which is how it should be. There are many options to tweak the game play also. I personally found I had better control of my player when I turned the "control assist" down very low; it is set at max as a default and makes it that you are constantly fighting against the computer to move your character and make shots.

I love the character creator options in the game, not perfect but very good since most gamers lack imagination anyway. The default roster is pretty slim and missing many major stars; however you can go online via the "Academy" and download loads & loads of player created versions of many current and past tennis stars to add to your game. This is an awesome feature and thankfully many of the creations you can modify their stats or "pretty them up" if you wish to change them to your vision of how they are. I appreciate the effort but sadly a lot of the creators don't know how to model the players to look how they do in real life. Thankfully, I was able to fix my darling Sharapova and a few others.

The game has a handful of good and surprisingly addictive modes. The career mode is serviceable. Overall, this seems like a fine second attempt to the AO Tennis franchise. I look forward to seeing what improvements, additions & adjustments they'll make to the game in the future.

Very fun game to play. Requires that you treat it like a real tennis simulation so don't be assuming it will be a Virtua Tennis equivalent. Was looking for a game similar to old Top Spin tennis series and this is what I was looking for. Many different game modes available and online play as well. Community has created players and arenas available for download.

Good tennis game

So the bones for a good realistic tennis game are all here, but a lack of overall polish combined with some major gameplay issues make this another mediocre tennis game in its current state. Sadly though, this is still probably the best realistic tennis game I've played since the Grand Slam or Top Spin games, but that's not saying much:

Pros:
- Some of the best customization of any sports game I've ever seen. Between detailed custom players, venues, logos, racquets, etc. all of which can be shared online. That part is absolutely amazing- any player or tennis venue in the world exists to download. I can't emphasize enough how awesome and detailed this is. You could get lost for weeks with it downloaded all the ATP 250, 500, 1000, and grand slam level venues in the world.
- A decent career mode with enough depth using a calender format. Engaging but not overwhelming.
- The bones of the controls are a cool idea, but some major issues which I'll detail below.
- Overall presentation and sound is good. Player reactions, match pregame, stat tracking, and camera shots are are fun. We could use a little more life in the crowd and on court ball kids/officials. I actually like not having annoying announcers, but maybe adding them between games or pre/post match would add some engagement.

Cons:
- Online mode exists, but I haven't found a single player to match with.
- Some major graphical hiccups that at times make the game look bad. Most common examples are teansitions between points, and random low poly/blurry player models and logos during gameplay.
- Some occasional stutters between points as well. Not a big deal, but enough to be distracting.
- Career mode can be quirky with players retiring too soon, and unnecessary performance downgrades after losing matches.
- Gameplay needs major tuning. Baseline play is extremely difficult, even in low levels, and doubles net play is not responsive enough to the point that is borderline not playable.

The customization alone makes this fun if you're a die hard tennis fan, but if not, I can't recommend this game to the average player until some major issues are fixed.

I trust everyone says that these games get lots of at launch support. As a big tennis and video game fan, it's just frustrating that I've waited close to a decade for an all around acceptable tennis game, and this just doesn't cut it, even if a lot of the peices are in place.

4 out of 5 stars. I don't care much about having all the players licensed but wish Djokovic, Federer,Kyrgios,Naomi Osaka etc. Were licensed but that's not a big deal.
About the Gameplay it's Good but i found VIRTUA TENNIS 3 which i played earlier on my PC to be little more fun this one, but again the Gameplay of AO TENNIS 2 is also not bad its good.
Graphics is also good, Career mode is interesting, Australian Open is fully licensed not sure about other 3 major Tournaments.
All in all Good👍🏻 🎾

Good game. Came in perfect condition as well. Takes couple of matches to get used to (I used to play Top Spin), but with time you get comfortable, even for doing aces.
