I've ridden this 29-inch tire on street and trail, and it performed great on both. A surprisingly smooth roller on the pavement (50psi) despite a modestly aggressive tread. On a narrow, rooty, sandy single track it was flawless despite keeping the pressure at 50psi. The twisty trail is covered in spots with pine straw where my old tires had a tendency to slip out...not these. I'm really happy with this tire as a versatile street/trail performer at a solid price.

I ride to trails and on the edge of roads. Like it alot for the traction and low noise. In wet trails it takes more conscious effort not to over crank or loose traction, but they brake and do hold well enough to continue on with some confidence. On sale good choice over other tires-clincher type.

I mounted the Vittoria Mezcal Rigid tires on my Ridley X-650b gravel bike. After 100 miles, I can say the Vittoria tires perform well on the desert roads and trails I ride. I like that the tires had enough traction and width to allow me to control sliding on loose sand. The tires mitigate the shock to the hands from washboard roads. According to my Park scale, tire weight is 28 ounces. The tires mount easily, with no stress, strain, or cursing.

I put this tire on the font of an E bike , replacing the Knobby tire the bike originally came with. the result was a much quieter ride and much less rolling resistance. While keeping the Knobby on the rear, the change made the bike a more enjoyable to ride. I've ridden this combination on every surface from sheets of ice to dirt trails to loose sand and the pavement, the balance of traction and handling with mezcal is great. even doing quick and sharp U turn maneuvers is good.

I would have given these tires 5 stars but they were extremely difficult to put on my rims. This may be my own fault because I have never attempted to install tubeless tires before. That being said, I am very impressed with the grip and stability these tires give on both single track trails going over rocks and roots with inclines and descents, and long flat rail-to-trail rides. I feel more confident on these Mezcals than any other tire I've used.
